Yep Tim well I did go for a walk and also a slide down the water logged lake bank after the 8-10 inch snow melt we had, lucky not to have a backpack on with gear in, I managed to land on my back camera and lens held from impact :( anyway I stayed out and got shots of an egret, heron, kestrel, and a few others so all good(y)

Glad that nothing was broken Gary! The last time I slipped carrying my gear I discovered that the hood of the 100-400 is quite expensive to replace, still not as expensive as the lens itself so it did its job.
