We have these here in quite healthy numbers but you can hardly ever get too close to them for shots as this.

Well constructed shot. The background green is a sweet opposition to the orange bricks. The bird pops too.

We have starlings in abundance here and I quite like them, as Iain commented in the right light their colours are stunning..
