Lovely set with a relaxed, casual and untouristic vibe. Congrats 👌

Lovely images Dave! Would definitely like to visit Japan myself one day.

I cannot recommend it enough Tim, this is my third trip, my first being in 95 for work.

I love the place, especially the evenings. Great atmosphere and very safe.

One thing I would recommend though is that unless you absolutely have to see the cherry blossom, avoid this time of year. Everywhere is so crowded, it can be a bit of a meat market. Getting into restaurants without pre booking can be involve a bit of a trek.

Other than that, do it.

I recommend November in Japan, the red maple is just great and the weather is pleasant!

I worked for a Japanese company in London for the final decade of my working life. They had just opened up the idea of local staff getting to visit head office, when we had a merger and I, ahem, retired. I would have loved to have gone. Mind you, my personal holiday allowance and budget prioritised other places, including the one that is now home.

Introduced by colleagues, I became a huge fan of sushi, sashimi and... saki!
