  1. Yes
A few shots from a Country Park this week (2 visits). I've always preferred the long zoom/crop in post method to get these shots, as I don't have the time and patience to set up Macro gear, and most of the time the subject buggers off anyway. The 200 600/A7RIV Combo lends itself well, thanks to all of those pixels. All of these are shot handheld. In order, they are:
Large Red Damselfly, Female Demoiselle, Female White Legged Damselfly, Orb Spider (subspecies to be determined when I find my book!), Male Banded Demoiselle, Large Red Damselfly.

Wow! Extremely impressive. Wing res outstanding. You certainly don't need a macro with this superb definition. Perfect bokeh. You certainly had enough ambient light for these. #2 & #4 slight DoF, but rest are gorgeous! You must be using a camera w more than 10 megapixels. :giggle:
Great job, Kev.

Cheers. Yes, the DOF is slightly not there on those, it's very hard to get dead square on to that species, they are masters at sitting at a bloody awkward angle :) I could have shot at f11 or so, but then ISO creeps up an you lose the fine hair detail.

Well I'm glad you didn't have Macro on that spider! Spiders are pure nightmare fuel, no need to get even closer 😅
