A glassy reflections unbroken by wildlife

This was a rare bright morning in an area usually teeming with ducks and small birds, especially in the rain. A couple of days ago, the early morning light hit everything just so, and the water was like glass. There was no wildlife to break up the reflections. This was about 90 minutes after sunrise.

In this view, you can see a pumphouse and the buildings on the right are a marina.

Very nice fall colors and seems to be a great spot for bird pictures.

Nice composition! That A7 IV is working well.
 
At the same spot a couple of months later, we're experiencing an arctic outflow. This is extremely unusual as it rarely drops below freezing here.

I've never seen this body of water frozen like this. The windchill was -23 degrees Celsius (-9 degrees Fahrenheit).
