CC Welcome
  1. Yes
Out at a local Botanic Gardens I seen these and I for one like them to take photo's off.
But looking at my shots it shows that I am out of practice in taking shots of them.
They are close but I have missed by a little and the conditions were not the best for any sort of photography this day.

I think these photos are fine. I do wonder though, what they would look like if you opened up the aperture a bit & had the ISO at 100. I'm thinking the background would be less distinct or more blurred, and draw the viewer's eyes to the flowers a bit more.

Nice photos Jeff..........maybe a little post processing highlighting on the flower centres if this is where you focused, dependant
upon where you wanted to draw the observers eye to........:)

They are Osteospermums, from southern and eastern Africa. I grow them in my garden, they flower for a long time.

Jeff these are close to my bird setup setting's and this is why the setting were there. As I mentioned I do need to do a little more of other stuff here and there to cover a little further as you mentioned I will take on board for next time, So thank you for the pointers on that.

Thanks for the name of these I know I will forget as soon as I get out of here but I now know where to find the name.
They are a lovely flower with nice centered details and I think this is always makes for nice shots.

Never knew there were more types than the 2 I posted. Good to see and thanks for showing us.

Very nice. True you could have opened the aperture more, but at least you didn't blow out the highlights (I do this all the time on white flowers LOL!).

Thanks for that and I know what you mean on this one as some thing's I am told i just don't fully understand what they mean. But this one I do..
And I was also glad of this and i think this was down to lopking at the histogram that got me over the line and I will look at trying to remember to do the other things next time as well.
