Walking along with the camera when all of a sudden I was getting dive bombed by this bird.
Now these little things are so quick but they also are so brave.
I had no idea what was going on until I looked a little to my left and there was the reason, young ones.

They look a bit big for the nest. Well spotted!
 
Yeah, I've seen them stomping on the back of a raven and swooping a perched Whistling Kite often enough to drive it off.

They're very territorial - they don't need chicks around.

Within a week they will be on the edge of the nest and it's so soon after that when they are gone.

They have to be one of the bravest out there in the bird world.
Love watching them toying with cats.
These are some real characters in our part of the world and they are enjoyable to watch.
