Nice. We were supposed to have Aurora Borealis here this week with last night being the peak, but it's been nothing but clouds.
 
I don't know what it is but the shot looks really good.

I did see some shots of it from friends in Denmark. Quite spectacular!

I once saw a minor version of it from my home, it was more of a coloration in the night sky of pale yellow and a bluish ring around the moon. Not the amazing shimmering curtains you see in photos. I'm not far enough north, would need to go to the Upper Peninsula for anything more.
 
More to come. The sun is heading toward solar maximum sometime around 2025. It's already pretty active so more chances of northern and southern lights.
