Nice photos Gary, don't know the lens but must be very sharp wide open at 300mm and F 6.3.........(y)

Were you using natural strong sunlight or flash illumination.......judging by some of the leaf reflections I assume flashlight...???

its the a-mount 3002.8 on the lea5 adaptor on the a9 e-mount I just saw the bee on a fence rail and then the holly bush and snapped it, and the light was harsh but no illumination from me. check some of my other bee shots on here
