Sony A7R VI Behaviour of the battery charger BC-SAD1

I've used several different models of Sony battery charger, and to the best of my recollection, they all turned off the lights when the battery is fully charged.

The BC-SAD1 does not. I didn't really notice this until today because I was generally in a hurry to charge my only battery, so I charged to about 80% and stopped. Yesterday I collected my free battery (offer when I bought the camera) and my spare (ordered at the same time). I plugged both into the charger and left them overnight.

I was expecting the lights to be out, but no, the three charge lights were all on steady. I wondered if that meant the batteries weren't good, or something.

Ran a couple of Google searches, and they seemed to agree with my vague recollections - when fully charged the lights should be out (but when I followed the citations, they looked to be referring to older batteries).

Looked up the "manual" (single large sheet folded many times) for the BC-SAD1 (I don't think that was included in the box with the camera - maybe it should be?), and confirmed that all is well: For this charger the three green lights stay on solid when the battery is fully charged.

I'm glad I now have enough batteries! Although, to be honest, this battery does seem to last a long time - I may not have needed quite as many as I have (yet!)

Just thought I'd mention it because it's difference behaviour.

I use a Power Delivery (PD) cable that shows how much power the BC-SAD1 battery charger is drawing - usually 27 watts for the A7RVI battery charger. When drawing Zero Watts the three lights remain on. Holding down the 'Battery Health' button will illuminate the Status light and all three charging lights if the battery health is good. Unless you are using very long text prompts when using Google AI (to exclude all the other Sony products you do not want Google AI to use) you are unlikely to get the correct answer. I am constantly having to correct Google AI on my Sony support channel.

Yes, AI returning spurious results by ignoring part of the question - that's exactly why I mentioned following the citations to verify that AI was looking at the right wrong charger.

I like the idea of a PD cable which shows the amount of power being drawn - would you be willing to share a link to the one you are using?
