Nice! Hard to tell at this stage, I'd be inclined to think Female as there is no orange around the head/neck, but it could just be that it's young. Good idea for a thread

Barred Owl Pair - they typically choose cedar, fir, spruce and pine trees to nest in, most often found in old-growth forests. This is because they like to find large cavities in trees to nest in, and older trees have more natural holes in them.
