Not used to fully black ones, around here we have the redwing sort. Well exposed to catch some feather deatils (y)
 
Very nice. We only see them in Winter here in our part of Norfolk, and the ones that come to my garden are migratory from Scandanavia, they don;t have a yellow bill.
 
Nice shots. Never saw one like that. Most people don't realize that Grackles, Starlings, Meadowlarks, Orioles, and Cowbirds are all Blackbirds. The only all-black variety in Michigan is Brewer's Blackbird. Like Longviewer, the most common bird recognized as a Blackbird around here is the Red-winged.

Although here in Canada we have a great variety of birds I do miss our birds back home in England..
