In case anyone else has been experiencing problems with Capture One 20. There is a new version (of 20) available.
Ver: 13.1.4
I could not get C! to record tethered any RAW files but only JPEG.
Long discussions and data log submissions, still being analyzed. However, it was now suggested to try to replicate the problem with the latest version for this program.

Very helpful technical team at C1 helping me migrate from Nikon to Sony a7Riii tethered.
