I rarely see them here in NoVa.

Beautiful bird, think it was about 3 years ago here in the UK we had a good influx .

One of my favorite birds as well. I don't see them around here often but when I do there are usually many of them. A couple of years ago I had dozens of them along with robins in my back yard. Many years ago I had a bunch of them devouring the berries on a holly bush near my front window. I was able to get photos from just a few feet away and even the flash didn't bother them.
