I was amazed at how close I was able to get too this chipmunk. First I shot at about six feet away, and since I had the shot I slowly, slowly inched forward to get closer and closer. Surprising he didn't move. I kept inching closer, and closer. Finally at arms-length from the critter, I slowly raised camera and took a dozen shots. I could have reached out to touch him, I was actually that close and this was a wild chipmunk, not a pet.

If you enlarge, then zoom in tight, you can tell from my reflection in his eyeball, how very close I was to this guy. I thought about slow reaching my hand out to see how close I could come, but decided against it, to let him finish his lunch in peace.

Its great when they (any animal subject) don't freak out and let you get the shot.
