create a transparent background for signature?

Hi everyone, I have this JPG image that I would like to use as a watermark (I also have a PNG of the file), how can I make the background transparent? (I only have lightroom) thanks!

You can use an online tool like one on the Adobe site at https://www.adobe.com/express/feature/image/remove-background/png/transparent. Lightroom can't do it but Photoshop can. I sent you a message through the Conversation feature on here.

I'm fairly sure that GIMP could do that too: free software.

GIMP is great but for a sigle simple task I used a free transparent converter on the internet.
