  1. Yes
I have been a longtime user of DxO software. Today I got emailed a couple of surveys by them. One of the last questions on both surveys was - "Would you be interested in beta testing our software?"

I answered Yes, so it will be interesting to see where that leads, if anywhere. I sometimes use Photoshop Beta but anyone who uses Photoshop can try that. I am also a beta tester for Topaz Gigapixel AI but it's not something that I use all that often.

I have been using the Nik Collection for many years and I was glad when DxO took it onboard as it had been stagnant for a long time and they have been updating it recently.

Nice, I use silver effects all the time, but not much else in the bundle. I wish they would add a new model where you could upgrade to just the filters you use. Beta testing sounds like fun :)

I don't know if you have heard of Dave Kelly. He has a YouTube channel called The Joy Of Editing. Every Wednesday he is doing a video on a filter in Color Efex. Might be worth a look. Here's a link:

The Joy Of Editing With Dave Kelly.

Im way back on versin 6 I cannot afford 8 but ill give it a watch :)

I'm guessing a lot of the filters themselves haven't changed much.

That’s part of why it’s just not worth the $$$ 89 bucks for ? lol. 49 is one thing. I’ve been with them since they started charging and before when it was free. It’s just to much for the minor changes great product so hard to make it better in some areas.

I meant a lot of the actual filters in Color Efex haven't changed much. Silver Efex has had an interface update and is much better now. Plus the ability to import masks from Photoshop is a game changer I reckon. I like to support DxO with this software because if it was up to Google it would just be some unusable old software festering away in a dark corner of the internet somewhere...
