Editting software

I'm a Newbie to all of this but I'm using Lightroom via the Photography Creative Cloud package from Adobe. $10.00 US per month and lots of online help. Not using Photoshop yet because Lightroom can do more than I am even aware of.

I use CaptureOne. I converted frorm Lightroom about 4 years ago. The quality of image rendering and controls are very powerful. For any editing I can't do in CaptureOne I use Affinity Photo. I would strongly recommend giving it a try.

Have you tried Topaz products with it? I find the two don’t play well together.

I use Affinity Photo, gave up on LR and PS due to cost and the subscription model (Affinity is one time charge), have fount it to be as versatile as LR and PS and it handles the Sony RAW formats beautifully.

I use CP1 for RAW editing and if needed I use Affinity Photo for any editing I cannot do in CP1. I converted form LR about 5 years ago. CP1 has an amazing RAW rendering engine that tin my opinion is far superior to LR. The color, image quality is outstanding using CP1.
