Hi Guys

I am kind new to photography. I am using Sony A7V. Recently I took some photos in limited light with aperture closed too much. I was able to recover photos from too much of darkness in Sony post-processing software using 1 EV - 1. 3 EV. I opened aperture to get more light and took pictures again , pretty much in the same condition. Surprisingly pictures look almost identical in terms of sharpness and details. I am curious if there is any difference in getting the light from lenses and changing exposure in post processing software.? or it works well but only in some narrower range like 1 EV ?

Thank you for sharing your experience

Much better to get as much light as possible (within exposure limits) on you sensor than boost in post processing. You maybe should try to find some sort of basic photography course to do.

Just a question - what camera settings are you using?
