Those are great photos! You are sucking the life out of me having purchased the 90mm Macro right before the 100 was announced 😩😩😩 lol.

1) Its only money - you can't take it with you when you expire.
2) You can always sell the 90mm to defray some of the costs.
3) You know you want it!
4) If married, you may have to sleep on the sofa for a few nights (weeks?)... Big deal.
5) There is no such thing as too many lenses.

Lol you are right on all points! Wife and I have a “don’t ask don’t tell” policy regarding our personal purchases, but why push the envelope… On the other hand, some good grandkids pictures and the expensive camera gear becomes worth it.

You beat me, Orson! I just got my copy of this lens, and probably won’t get to photograph anything decent until tomorrow. I will post my first shots here, though.

I wonder how many others on here are waiting for theirs to arrive? I’m guessing Chris may be

😂😂😂

I pre ordered (USA). I thought the Sony release date was around Nov 12th. What country are you guys in?

I have started raiding the change jar to help with gathering the funds to order. I feel as though there will be some gift funds that will assist soon. Then just need to wait on Adorama to add to Amazon. 5% back helps to get more toys.

Have you looked at B&H Payboo with no interest for either 6 or 12 months depending on price or tax free option. I use it all the time, saved a bunch on not paying tax on my a1ii and purchased a few CFExA cards interest deferred for 6 months.

My state has the horrible sales tax rate of 0% and I can get like 6 months interest free from my Chase CC on purchases over $250, so Payboo doesn't really have much value for me. The one real advantage that getting it through Amazon is that through regular purchases I've built up a few hundred in credits that I use for any photography stuff. If we didn't have the tariff stuff screwing with stuff I would have gotten the A1ii through Amazon with 5% back.
I am really forcing myself to stick with a budget I've made for the year and already have had to adjust for stupid must have home repairs. Basically I am trying to squeeze this purchase in by Dec instead of like Jan/Feb. I'll be fine waiting if I have too.

The little flags on the avatars tell you the country.

Australia often gets a shipment of a new lens or camera body early in the shipping schedule because one shipment can often fill all of the pre-orders in Australia - one shipment would vanish without trace into the pre-orders in the USA.
