I know absolutely nothing about setting up lighting. In fact I never seem to do very well (even allowing for the usual disadvantages) with a single speed light on my camera. So I cannot suggest how... But, browsing your portraits, I have the feeling that there is a nice lot of light there: they could do with a little shade.

I don't shoot with lights or portraits so I can't really offer any advice other than what Thad has already said, just a tad too much light on some of them for my eyes but hopefully easily adjusted in post.

I appreciate the input. I was pretty happy with the results but I can definitely make adjustments to the lighting. All images were taken either under a shelter or indoors so there was no direct sunlight on any of the images. Thanks!

I presume from the very even light that you had a light with soft box at about 45° on each side of your subjects. I don’t know how you are measuring your exposure but it might look a bit more dynamic if you turn one of the lights down about one stop.
