These are just quick snaps. It was extremely crowded at the gates and probably 50mm wasn't the best lens to have used.

I haven't brought this up because I know that like in any country there are varying degrees of support for leadership, be it political or royal. Having said that, Great Britain on the whole has my deepest condolences on the loss of your Queen. She was indeed a grand lady and one of a kind.

Thank you. I'm 64 and she has been our Queen all of my life. She will be missed. Probably the last of her kind.

Thank you Tim…
She was most definitely a national treasure and will be sorely missed 👑

I’m 65 and like you never known any different.. she will be greatly missed..
Thank you for posting those pictures..

When I was a kid I was fortunate to have a dad who worked for the airlines. One year we went to England. My fondest memories of that trip were Hampton Court, Windsor, The Tower of London, and of course, Buckingham Palace. I was twelve, so castles and palaces were the top of the heap for me. As luck would have it the Crown Jewels were on display, I think at the Tower. Does that sound right? I could be mistaken, I too am 64, so it was a while ago!

You know, you were in a crowd and nobody is going to pose but your subject is in focus and everything else is not. As a viewer, I know what the photographer wanted to portray. Good job.

Yes, politics aside, the photos were pretty good: I felt the mood as if I was there. Thanks for sharing.
