  1. Yes
These are a few only a few of the smaller bird from my area in Mildura.
This is in the Northwest of Victoria, here in Australia.
And these are what I like to get shots of most of all as well.

Budgerigar or Budgie

Budgies are probably best known as a cage bird - I had to find a book reference to prove to someone that they are native to Australia!

You see budgies? I’ve been to Mildura when I was a kid and I bred budgies…. Right. Road trip to Adelaide!!!!

The gouldian finch us another they won’t believe just flap around the scrub unsupervised.

I’ve seen galahs in flocks of thousands but budgies….. that’s on the hit list. I’ll take the motorbike.

I know what you mean as I have had talks with people and they think they are a British bird.

Very cool, you have a lot of wrens. You can never have too many wrens.
This is only what I have got and there are still a lot more out there that I am going to try to get over time.

Like you I use to bred this little buggers as well but it got too much on my back and I had to sell them all. But it has been good to have them here this year.

I have not got the Gouldian Finch as yet so I will take your word on that.
The Budgies this year came in as flocks of 300 or so and there were a few of them here and just so good to get.
Last year e had them here as well but I think it might have been a test flock of 40 or so. Making it so pleasing to see this many this year.
With the hope that next year we get even more.

I have a shot taken with a manual focus lens (50mm APO Lanthar - so sharp!) of a mob of galahs flying around a tree. I was planning to photograph the tree when they took off - I have sharp images of many of the galahs in the shot.

The scary part is how loud they can be! I think I was startled into taking the shot
