Goldenrod Crab Spider and a Honey Bee
Apparently, these spiders don't rely on webs to trap their prey. They lie in wait for hours until their prey to come close enough to trap them with their powerful legs and paralyze them with a bite.
I grabbed the other camera and backed up to get this shot.
Do you think either of these is close-up or macro enough to enter in the contest this month given that neither was taken with a macro lens?
