Birds Green Finch

Unbelievable that a once very common bird is now in decline.

I regularly see a flock of fifty or so moving through the woods.
 
Thats good Dave. We're lucky to see one or two now and again up here.
 
Just read that their decline is due to Trichomonosis.
Yes the green finch is prone to getting it as is the Chaffinch although it doesn't seem to be affected as much.
 
Nice. We have had several in our garden for the first time this year.

Its been a while since I've seen one but there was two together yesterday.

They must have all emigrated. Seem to be plenty of European Green Finches in Tasmania!
