Hi everyone,
I’m a new Alpha shooter, though I go way back with photography. I used to be a Canon guy back in the day, shooting with a Canon 50D, a 24–70mm f/2.8, a 70–200mm f/2.8, and the classic 50mm f/1.8. Most of my early work was landscape and nature photography.
Things really changed for me during the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games, which were held in my hometown of Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. I volunteered as a sports photographer for the ODECABE organization, and it was an incredible learning experience. After that, I continued doing some sports photography, including the 2010 Caribbean Series and the DirecTV Super Cup soccer tournament, also in Mayagüez.
After 2012, life took over — I went back to school, changed jobs, and photography took a back seat for a while. Fast-forward to 2025: I picked up a Sony a6500 and a Viltrox 28mm f/4.5 for a vacation, and that purchase completely reignited my passion for photography.
Since then, I’ve sold almost all of my Canon gear and moved fully into the Sony ecosystem. I’m now shooting with a Sony a7C II, and about a month ago I added the Sony 100–400mm GM to my kit. These days, when work allows, I focus mostly on wildlife, landscape, and nature photography.
Really glad to be here and looking forward to learning from the community.
