I've had an A7RIII for a month and love its ease of use as well as its superb IQ with sharp lenses.
I came to Sony after 40 years as a Pentax shooter, during which I amassed a pile of lenses and bodies. My current FE lineup is a 24mm f2.8 Tamron, a 50mm f1.8 Sony (a package with the camera for an extra $150), and a week-old Sigma 100-400. As soon as I have enough pennies, a 28-70 or 75, either Sigma or Tamron.
With an adapter I can also use several Pentax lenses, including the supersharp Takumar 20mm f4, the excellent Tamron 90mm macro, and the classic Pentax-F 300mm f4.5. The latter two require a tripod for best results, because the adapter is manual only, but I can just set the depth of field dial at f8 on the 20mm between infinity and 6 feet, and shoot without either autofocus or manual focus.
