Hello all,
I started my photography journey about 10 years ago. My first DSLR was a Costco package deal Nikon D3300 that came with a couple serviceable kit lenses. I also purchased a 50mm f/1.8 prime, which served me well for the first 5 years.
In 2022, I decided to upgrade to a mirrorless, and purchased the Sony A7iv with the Sigma Art 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN. I have traveled all over with it, and found it was a perfect lens for landscape photography and portraitures. Over the past couple of years I really started to fall in love with wildlife photography. So I purchased the Sony 200-600mm last year, and that has really served me well for capturing wildlife here in the Pacific Northwest.
This year, I also decided to start a photography business, as I have had many co-workers that want me to take family photos, and senior portraits (plus I can sell my wildlife prints, which is my real passion). I am learning as I go, but still have a lot to learn (from the business side).
In the last month I came into some additional funds gifted to me from a family trust, so was able to pull the trigger on a A1 ii, my dream camera body for wildlife photography. I will be picking up the Sony 70-200mm mark 2 at some point in the next month or so to round out my glass.
