Being 88 years old dates me back the the days of Kodachrome, Kodacolor, FujiChrome and camers with focal plane or between the lens shutters (which we called a Single Lens Reflex in those days). Before digital cameras were developed I did some freelance work with a Minolta 35mm. I had several lenses so when Sony bought Minolta and produced cameras that used my old lenses it was a natural to migrate to that platform. I'm on my 3rd Sony, an A7RV and really liking it so far, albeit I'll never live long enough to make use of the 50+ menu items. I purchased it for the AI focusing capabilities since my eyes aren't what they used to be. I have a 24-240, 200-600, and just ordered a 70-200 Macro. I do wildlife from my sun room mostly. We have deer, turkey, numerous forest birds and most of the woodpecker species found in south central Missouri visit our back yard most days. I also venture out to photograph eagles around the lake (Lake of the Ozarks), finding 3 nesting pairs so far. I look forward to participating and learning from the forum.
