Hello,
I have been an Sony camera user for some time now. (started with A100) I current have a A6500. I am most interested in Wildlife/Flowers and Macro photography. I tell people that I am into the 3 B's, Birds, Blooms and Bugs. Sorry not very interested in portrait photography. I would like to do more with landscapes, but I do seem to catch them very well.
Thanks and Hello again.

Welcome! Great Macro shots!
I have an a6400 but my exposure to macro is limited to a few shots using the 18-135mm with a macro extension tube.

Hello

Thanks for the kind words.
Macro tubs can be very difficult to use, very shallow depth of field and you need to be VERY close to the subject. If you are interested in Macro photography may I make a suggestion? Sigma 70mm Macro, it is Very sharp lens, it also double as a portrait lens.

SIGMA.

70mm F2.8 DG MACRO

Hi Timothy,
I do have a question, that I was hopping you might answer.
I am looking for a Travel lens (Tamron 18-400mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD Model B028 currently only available for Nikon and Canon mounts). I was wondering if you have heard if this lens will become available for the E-Mount (APS-C or Full). I would rather work in native mode and not spend the money for a Canon to Sony adaptor mount.

TAMRON | 18-400mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD Introducing the world’s first 18-400mm, ultra-telephoto all-in-one zoom.

Has you used the Tamron 18-400mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD Model B028 with an adaptor (full auto only)?

Any feed back on these adaptors?

FotodioX Pro Fusion Plus Smart AF Adapter? $150

Sigma MC-11 Mount Converter/Lens Adapter? (best bet??) $199

Metabones Canon EF/EF-S Lens to Sony E Mount? (very pricy) $400

Thanks in advance.
Rich Johnson

I've not heard of any rumours that the Tamron 18-400mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD will be available in E-mount.

I've not used it I'm afraid and I haven't found too many posts from people that have besides this one:

He was using it on an a7R II with the metabones adapter and he did have focusing issues.

Any feed back on these adaptors?

Do you mean for use with the 18-400 specifically? It sounds like the metabones isn't working great, I can't find much info on the others in relation to the 18-400.

For many other lenses both the Metabones and the MC-11 with recent firmware can work pretty well. But performance always varies considerably based on the lens that you are using, so it's always best to Google around a little and see what feedback you can find.
