Hi
I've been a A7 user for 7 or so years (mkii now mkiv).
I'm now looking to lighten my gear as I tend to take the camera on long walks so interested in lens reviews including their weghts. Cheers JackP

Welcome aboard.

If you want to lose some weight (and bulk), consider the aspc range or the a7C range. The aspc range benefit from lighter lenses as well as bodies.

Welcome aboard. Also, I second the idea of an A7C body. All the image resolution of an A7IV, but in a smaller package and the only real tradeoff is the compromised EVF experience.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will look into it.

Thank you for your help. I'm now looking to swap my A7 iv, which I love, for an A7c ii and my current lenses for a sony 20 -70 and a Tamron 70-300, when funding allows. MPB want a little too much at the moment for my swap.

Another direction, depending on your needs, is to keep your a7iv which is a real workhorse and use a prime when you want a light walking around setup. I use a 35mm when I really want to lighten my load on a full frame camera like the a7iv. Also using something like the 24-70 is not a killer if you have the right strap setup like the Peak Design attached to the side and bottom of the body. It keeps the camera comfortably on your hip with easy access.
