Having just acquired a Sony A7CR I've been really happy with the included and much needed base plate extension.
The only issue is I've found no way of adding any scratch protection - as my camera sits on its base for much of the time.
I finally found the solution in the Leofoto LPS-A7CII. It's the same depth as the Sony extension so the 'grip' isn't compromised.
Early days, but I highly recommend.
