Views of London from Shooters Hill (yesterday 28/10/23) which is located in South East London, on the South side of the Thames. It was a misty day so the views are not very clear, but still spectacular. It is somewhat confusing seeing these landmarks from this vantage point as they located along the snaking Thames River so some of the buildings don't appear to be located in the correct place relative to others.
From the far left, is the Telecom Tower, with two of the four chimney stacks of the Greenwich power station visible in the middle bottom far left, to The Gherkin in the middle and Canary Wharf complex to the far right.
Focus on Wood Wharf (left complex) and Canary Wharf complex in the South East of London, but on the North side of the Thames. 1 Canada Square is the building with the pyramid, just to the left of the HSBC Tower (world headquarters for HSBC bank).
The Shard centre, the arch over Wembley stadium, next to the Telecom Tower. In the middle foreground are the four chimney stacks of of the Greenwich Power Station (south of the river Thames). To the left of Wembley Stadium in the middle foreground is the GLA building, while to the right of the Telecom Tower is Tower Bridge.
In the far left is The Shard, towards the centre is the arch over Wembley stadium, next to the Telecom Tower. To the right of the tower is St. Pauls and to the right of St. Pauls is the Walkie Talkie building. In the foreground, on the left is the Greenwich Power station (south of the river Thames), towards the middle is the GLA Building and Tower Bridge. To the left of the top of the Shard is a helicopter.
In the far left is the Palace of Westminister (you can just see the Elizabeth Tower or Big Ben as it is incorrectly called), then the London Eye, The Shard and in the foreground the chimney stacks of the Greenwich Power Station (on the south side of the Thames). To the right of the light pole (which obscures the GLA building) is, Telecom Tower, Tower Bridge, St.Pauls, and the Walkie Talkie building. To the left of the top of the Shard is a helicopter.
