I'm the first to admit I couldn't tell the difference between a reed and a marsh warbler. But according to the nearby local ( who was around when 'all those trees had marsh harriers on them')- he reckoned that it was a marsh warbler by the song...who am I to argue.

Nice. I'd say Reed Warbler too, but we don't get Marsh Warblers in many places in the UK, and they are passage birds on the coast, occasionally stay in Kent and Worcestershire, so I wouldn't know if I saw one or not!
