CC Welcome
  1. Yes
Now we finally have some warm weather it's been worth getting the moth trap out at night again. Here's a few from this past week. The 2 big boys were last night and I've left out the Elephant Hawk, as you've seen him. Settings vary because I've been trying to get better exposure, but have found the sweet spot today (last few shots). ID on each.

They kinda look fuzzy and cute don't they? Especially the first 2. Maybe that's why nobody was ever afraid of Mothra in the Godzilla series LOL

Well, they are fuzzy, very fuzzy, all scales and fur, but not sure Cute is right. The Hawkmoth is terrifying!

wow that is a big bugger 90mm that is going to make a big pattern if you splat it Kev🤣
No! Never kill moths intentionally! They are incredibly varied beasts and some are beautiful.

Must be a tough decision deciding which one gets to sleep at the end of your bed. I'll take that second last one if you don't mind. 😀

That's quite the collection Kev! Must be the smell of your cooking bringing them all in! :) No moths at ours yet, probably need to work on our culinary skills a little!

Get yourself a trap, it's fascinating and I reckon you'd get loads where you are.
