These are a few shots of the waxing gibbous moon, hand held, but taken through the trees (for effect?) on a cloudy night. I was shooting during the cloud breaks, but I think there may have been some high clouds in the shots. Images taken in London so Bortle 8 skies. These are taken with the Sony A7iv + Sony GM 70-200mm f2.8 OSS II, so have cropped in quite a bit. I'm only using LR classic for post-process. Which do you all prefer, the colour or the BW. For the first colour image, there are two BW options, and for the second colour image, only one BW option.

I prefer the B&W, but then again, I always do for lunar photography.

I preferred the black & white shots. Maybe that's because my earliest recollections of pictures of the moon were also black & white.

Why 188 mm instead of 200?

I like to see the moon in colour. For mine, I can never decide what colour!! I tend to push the colour too heavy. Maybe that tells me something.

Nice shot! In this case I prefer the color. When shooting the Moon I often desaturate it to make it B&W. I'll even do it as a simple cheat when doing star fields especially if the lens I'm using shows too much chromatic aberration.
