New Forum Style

Hey Folks,

Due to the developer no longer supporting our forum style here, I've had to replace this with a new style.

There should be no differences in functionality hopefully, just some small cosmetic changes that may take a little adjusting to.

I've also changed the formerly default dark style to light, but you can now easily switch between light/dark styles using the lightbulb/moon icon that you'll find next to the notifications and search icons (top right) on desktop. On smaller mobile displays you'll find the switch in the main menu. There's also a style chooser in the footer.

Please let me know if you spot any problems or anything looks a miss.

Sorry for the inconvenience, hopefully you'll soon get used to it!

She's a bonnie wee thing, but growing every day! My life revolves around her. Between daddy duties and return to actual work, I have very limited time for photo editing, so I have an SD card full of baby pictures and not much to show for it yet haha.

Yes the default is "light" mode now, just a bit of an experiment to see if it helps with new signups. But you can easily change between light/dark styles using the lightbulb/moon icon that you'll find next to the notifications and search icons (top right) on desktop. On smaller mobile displays you'll find the switch in the main menu. Once you set it as dark or light it should stay like that until you change it again.

One new feature (I think it's new) I really like is how it lists the latest post or reply after each category.

I just found the "Change Width" Button. How cool is that! I wish I had a change width button.

Finding time for anything is definitely a challenge with a little one, especially if they keep you up at night! Luckily we were just woken up twice last night!

MOVE THE BLOODY LIGHTBULB!

Funny. I'd not had this issue myself personally but now since you've mentioned it I'm hitting it all the time! I'll see what I can about moving it.

I didn't do it for several days, then one day I hit it 3 times in a row. I think it's just a matter of getting used to it.

One thing I noticed, highlighting a word or sentence, like if you want to make it bold or delete, is very tough to see in the dark mode. It's virtually impossible to see if you're highlighting in a quote. Not sure if that could be more pronounced?

Do you mean highlighting a word in the editor window? If so, I've changed this now. See how that looks.

Yeah, that's great!

Did you just add the orange stripe to the side of the notifications, or have I just missed it until now? It sure makes it easy to see which ones you've checked!

The orange stripe is new too. Glad it helps!
