Hi all,
I've been amateur/hobby photographer for the last 7-8 years, I was using APS-C dslr cameras, then had a switch on a full frame (Nikon D800) and was using it for the past 4 years. I just got myself Sony A7 III and Tamron 28-75 2.8 G2. The portraits I took are stunning, tack sharp, just amazing. But there is some issues with the landscape, I tried taking a shot of landscape, f 7.1, 1/160, ISO 100, focused 1/3 in to the scene, and the mountains behind were soft, like really soft. Did anyone have issues like this ? Am I forgetting something or ?

P.S
Glad to be here guys and gals!

Welcome.

A third in is only a rule of thumb, to be spot on, there are calculations and a tripod needed.

Atmospherics can also be coming into play in anything other than perfect conditions.
