Hi I'm a new member here, this is my first foray into "real" digital cameras. I used film 35mm through my younger years, then sold it to my sister in-law. My college age daughter is taking classes so I Figured I'd buy a camera and lens's for her, then I caught the bug again. I ended up with a Sony a9 and an a7riva. I absolutely love both of these camera, but I am having a heck of a time transferring videos to my computer, with both cameras. When using a card reader the videos don't even show up. I have successfully sent a few to my phone, but connecting to my phone or computer is next to impossible. Any Suggestions?

I am sorry for what may be an insulting question, but are you sure you captured a video? Can you watch the video in-camera? Also have you hunted in all of the folders on the card?

They are not where you think they would be.

Check the other folders not just "dcim". From memory it may even tuck them into "root" for some reason.

Yes the videos are on the camera, I can watch them on the back screen. The old play memories thing doesn't work on my Mac, and I haven't found a reliable way to get them on to my computer.
