I expect that, if it happens, it will be confined to North America (Canada may suffer it too).

Since it appears whatever deals were in the works between the US and Sony's manufacturing countries are done in can believe this. My expectations are companies will either start raising prices before Nov or wait till the new year.

Sony A7sIII now sells for $800 more than before...

Very reason I took the plunge and picked up the R5 at beginning of September. Sony's instant & mail in rebate came to about $500 in savings. I hope anyone on the fence a month ago took advantage of that sale. I do not foresee pricings going down again, if anything it will slowly climb.
