New to the Group

Hi all! Just joined. Looking forward to being inspired by everyone's amazing imagery! I have been a Sony shooter for years. Love the mirrorless format and amazing auto focus system. Me and my better half (Geff Bourke, also in the forum) run a photography tour business. We also present and judge for camera clubs around the country, as we love sharing our knowledge and imagery with folks!

We run tours on the side of day jobs. Maybe one day you can join us. We do have fun!

Hello from the desert southwest of Arizona, where it's summer six months a year--middle of April thru middle of October--and nonsummer six months.

I became a fotog in 2000 with a 3MP Canon D30, and I've been throwing my money...er...investing, ya investing lots of my money in these things for two decades now.. My new-to-me a7R4A and Zony 55/1.8 are arriving today, with another batch of lenses following tomorrow.. I've had four or five A7Rn bodies over the years, and every one has not-enough-fingers-and-fingernails room for me; I hope I can solve that with some careful building up of the front and right side of the grip.

My most recent camera sytem, lasting all of two months, was based on a Fuji X-T4; the one before that was a Canon R5.. I managed to assemble a FF E-mount system including seven lenses that weighs almost a pound less than the Fuji eight-lens system.. We'll see how it all goes.
