Oregon High Desert in Infrared

Taken in October - there was still quite a bit of smoke in the area from the September wildfires so Infrared actually helped out since the skies were cloudless dull blue with smoke particles.

How did you take the IR shot ?
Is it by removing the built in IR filter and then use an IR only filter ?

A converted camera will have the hot mirror filter replaced with an IR or clear filter (for full spectrum). With my camera a 590nm filter was put in it's place.
