Hi Jan,

Great shots. Looking up the Davic ring number shows that this is a female Osprey that hatched in 2023 at Balgavies Loch which is just east of Forfar in Scotland. She’s probably on her first return from migration.

As part of the Osprey conservation efforts in the UK, there's a system of reporting sightings which I think is important especially for young birds like this one. If you had time, it would be great if you'd report your sighting to the Roy Dennis Foundation (link below). You can also upload a photo with the report to prove your sighting. Thanks.
