Hi, I mainly shoot with Pentax gear, but I wanted to try mirrorless and also to have a camera of less bulk/weight for those situations where that is desirable, so I have ordered an a6000 to try things out. I'm also into wildlife photography and have been impressed with the reviews of the 200-600 and the images I have seen here and on other sites so when finances permit I'll probably buy one to try on the a6000 initially. Welcome Paul! The a6000 was my first Alpha and a great camera to get started with. I'm not sure how well the 200-600 will work with the a6000 but it will definitely work! You can always try before you buy by renting from somewhere like HireACamera.

Thanks Tim. On the wildlife front I have a pentax 300mm which I often use with a 1.4 TC. It takes very good images but I often feel I needed more reach. So it was a choice between getting a 150-450mm for my pentax dslr or a nikon dslr plus a sigma contemporary 150-600mm or going for the Sony 200-600mm with an a6000 initially. After viewing images taken with all the lenses I decided to go the Sony route. Only just taken delivery of the a6000 yesterday so I'm still finding my way around the controls/menus. Paul

Thanks. Taken some images with the a6000 over the last couple of days and slowly finding my way around the controls. Paul
