quick question for anyone who has the 24-70 fe 2.8

So if you have this lens can you tell me if the hood is an internal thread and if so is it 77mm, the reason I ask is I have the a-mount 24-70 g2 Zeiss which has the stupid petal hood and I would like to change it, thanks Clint in advance I know you hate lens hoods

Ok Clint I guess I assumed they had not changed the basic build size, I had forgotten I will say that I had lost but really had the original hood nicked. So the hood I have now is after market
