Birds Rock Pigeon

This is what the common Pigeon has been tag with in our bird books. I just always knew them as Homing pigeons.
And some use to be racing pigeons who lost their way and joined up with the masses of the one we see everywhere.
With this said I like the look of them and this could be down to my older brother breeding them when I was a kid.
Yer I know that was years ago but it sticks with ya.

They are called Wood Pigeons here, or flying rats, or feathered vacuum cleaners, as they will mop up all food put out in minutes.

I will say that not every shot is right on but the percentages are far higher now than ever before.
And I am working out what I have done wrong on them quicker now as well.
So yes this was the right move for me and thank you for your words of encouragement to.
