Many of you may already know this seat belt tip. I just learned about securing my camera and lens in the car and thought I would share the tip.

Not a baby seat? :D

I always carry my cameras in bags. I've never thought of doing what you show. If I was going from shooting spot to shooting spot by car, and wanting to be ready to shoot immediately, your suggestion might inspire me. Thank you for sharing it.

By the way this tip was not to be credited to me. I saw it while I was surfing sites for thoughts on the Sony 600mm f/6.3 GM.

I just put my camera bag on the back seat. Never thought about it. Maybe I should!

Thanks.

I do a fair amount of birding within 5miles of my home. The 400-800 lens is big so I would place it on the floor attached to camera. I always worried what would happen to the setup if I had a sudden stop or accident. When I saw the seat belt tip it provided a simple quick solution for me. I cannot remember who the professional photographer was who posted the tip is. I still use a backpack for longer trips.
