I was lucky enough to find 2 flocks of Snow Buntings on our beach on Friday evening, a bird I have dipped out on a few times in the past (because there have only been odd 1s and 2s where I used to live), and so went back yesterday morning hoping they were still there. Clearly they were. I'd have killed for some sun to keep ISO lower, but I'm still really pleased with these shots. Cropped from shooting in crop mode by the way. Beautifully marked little birds. Lovely shots Kev and plenty of detail even with the ISO at 4000! A quick Google reveals that they are mainly found along the coast? So I'm probably not going to be spotting one here anytime soon.

Thanks Tim. Yes, coastal winter migrants, with exceptionally high numbers this year so far in Norfolk. Good for me :) I was hoping to get them in some sunshine, but the weather isn't playing ball.

Pesky British Weather! I'm sure you'll get some nice light before the winter is over Kev! Maybe some snow too! :)
