Sony A1 Sony A1 firmware update not working

I am trying to update the firmware and neither my Mac nor PC recognizes the camera. I am using a Sony UBS cord, removed the SSD cards, set it to Mass Storage nothing works. Rebooted many times downloaded the driver for the Mac and changed the security settings. I have read everything on the internet and called BH and nobody seems to have an answer. I have spent hours on this. Any suggestion would be much appreciated. Thank you

Try a different USB cord and make sure it is a data one and not one of those silly ones that can only do power.

I tried with Sony cable and a third party data cable no luck. Thank you
