I recently borrowed an A7V from Sony Australia to test as a remote camera to be used for horse racing photography. I used a cable from Aliexpress with a 3.5mm jack and a type C connector, with a couple of pocketwizards. Using an 85mm f1.4, I had the camera set to AFC autofocus and shot in compressed lossy RAW and HEIF. Lossless RAW caused the buffer to reduce to only 1.5 seconds, while the compressed RAW gave it about 8 seconds. It worked flawlessly. There was zero rolling shutter with the new semi stacked sensor.

Can you post a photo of the cable, and maybe a link to the item's Aliexpress page? :D

I found the cable on Amazon.
Make sure it is not the audio cable, as I tried one and it didn't work. Also make sure it is the 3.5mm plug so it fits in the pocketwizard.
